Onaga

Mrs. Becker's art students participated in the "2024 America Celebrates: Ornament Project", Congratulations to Onaga High School for being selected to decorate the Kansas tree! The designs were created by Atalie Conger, Alyssa Rager, Lily Falk, Rebecca Peters, Rachel Leonard, Hunter Lamond and Zach Peters. Zach Peters's design is featured as the design for Kansas. This recognition highlights the creativity and effort of students, as their ornaments will represent Kansas on one of the 58 smaller trees surrounding the National Christmas Tree, symbolizing states, territories, and regions across the U.S.

The National Christmas Tree display is a cherished tradition, with its centerpiece being a 35-foot Red Spruce, located on the Ellipse near the White House. This iconic holiday feature, which started in 1923 under President Calvin Coolidge, continues to bring together decorations that celebrate the diversity and artistry of the nation.
