As we get closer to the end of the semester and the end of 2024, the pressure to finish projects in the Ag woodshop has been increasing. Some people may work on their projects as gifts, some may work on it just to keep busy, and some may work on it for decorations and furniture. After making chairs as a class for practice with only a few straying from the original design adding cup holders, varying the proportions, and sanding differently from others. Everyone then split off to work on their own projects. So, let the dust settle, and let the paints and oils dry because here's a small view into what everyone is working on this semester. First up is Cody Pennington who is making three more chairs similar to the first to put out on his porch. Next is Xavier Berges who is also making a chair but of a sleeker, smoother design just for the sake of it. Christopher Peters is making a bench to go with their practice chair. Sophomore Kyra Weixelman is proving small projects don’t mean easy projects, and is making a dice tower for decoration and fun. Abel Conger finished making shelves for the Ag shop to hold more tools. Carmella Garcia-Losada, as kind as ever, is making a toy kitchen for her host family’s children to play with. Lastly, Monty Meyerkorth is making a vet box to hold medicine.
